Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last Updated: 30 August 2026

At PrepDrive, we aim to make your order experience as smooth and reliable as possible. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders within South Africa.

By placing an order through our website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy, subject always to your rights under applicable South African law.

1. Delivery Time

Orders are generally delivered within 8–11 business days from the date your order has been processed and dispatched.

Please note that the 8–11 business day period is an estimated delivery timeframe and not a guaranteed delivery date, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you in writing.

Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays.

Delivery times may vary depending on your location, courier availability and circumstances affecting the delivery network.

2. Our Courier Partner

PrepDrive uses The Courier Guy for delivery of orders.

Once your order has been handed to the courier, delivery is performed by the courier in accordance with its applicable delivery processes and service conditions.

You may receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Where tracking information is provided, customers are encouraged to monitor their delivery directly using the supplied tracking details.

3. Delivery Delays

While we aim to deliver your order within the estimated 8–11 business day period, delays can occasionally occur.

Delivery may be delayed by circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Courier network disruptions;

  • Severe weather;

  • Floods, fires or other natural events;

  • Road closures or accidents;

  • Public holidays;

  • Industrial action;

  • Operational or logistical disruptions;

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer;

  • Remote-area delivery constraints;

  • High courier volumes;

  • Security-related incidents;

  • Unforeseen events affecting transportation; or

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

PrepDrive will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, provided that we continue to comply with our obligations under applicable South African law.

An estimated delivery period does not constitute a guarantee that the courier will deliver on a specific date.

Where we become aware of an unavoidable or material delay affecting your order, we will take reasonable steps to keep you informed.

4. Delays Caused by Incorrect Customer Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information at checkout.

This includes:

  • Full name;

  • Correct physical delivery address;

  • Correct suburb;

  • Correct postal code;

  • Correct contact number; and

  • Any relevant access or delivery instructions.

PrepDrive will not be responsible for additional delivery costs, failed delivery attempts or delays resulting from incorrect, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer.

Where a parcel needs to be re-delivered because incorrect information was supplied by the customer, additional delivery charges may apply where permitted by law.

5. Tracking

Where available, tracking information will be provided after your order has been dispatched.

Tracking information is provided for your convenience and is dependent on information supplied by the courier.

Tracking updates may occasionally take time to appear or may not update immediately while the parcel is moving through the courier network.

If your tracking information has not updated for an extended period, please contact us so that we can assist with an enquiry.

6. Failed Delivery Attempts

The courier may make delivery attempts using the contact details and address supplied with your order.

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • Nobody is available to receive the parcel;

  • The delivery address is incorrect;

  • The customer cannot be contacted;

  • Access to the property is unavailable;

  • The customer refuses delivery; or

  • Other circumstances attributable to the customer prevent delivery,

the courier may arrange a further delivery attempt, collection or return of the parcel in accordance with its procedures.

Additional delivery charges may apply where permitted by law if a further delivery is required because of circumstances attributable to the customer.

7. Damaged Packages

Please inspect your parcel when it arrives.

If the outer packaging appears seriously damaged, please take photographs of the package before opening it where reasonably possible.

If your product appears to have been damaged during delivery, contact PrepDrive Customer Support as soon as reasonably possible and provide:

  • Your order number;

  • Photographs of the packaging;

  • Photographs of the product;

  • A description of the damage; and

  • Any other information reasonably required to investigate the matter.

We will work with the courier and the customer to investigate the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have under South African law.

8. Lost or Missing Parcels

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable period after the estimated delivery timeframe, please contact us.

We may open an investigation with The Courier Guy to determine the location and status of the parcel.

Customers should not attempt to arrange a separate investigation with the courier where PrepDrive is required to deal with the shipment, unless we specifically request otherwise.

Where a parcel is confirmed as lost, we will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the order.

9. Risk During Delivery

PrepDrive remains responsible for the goods in accordance with applicable South African consumer law until the consumer has accepted delivery where the law requires us to bear that risk.

We therefore do not attempt to transfer statutory responsibility for the goods to the customer merely because the parcel has been handed to the courier.

10. Delivery to the Address Provided

We deliver to the address supplied by the customer during checkout.

Please ensure that the delivery address is accurate before completing your purchase.

Once an order has been dispatched, changing the delivery address may not always be possible and may result in additional charges or delays.

11. Remote and Outlying Areas

Deliveries to remote, rural or outlying areas may take longer than the standard estimated delivery period.

Where applicable, additional courier restrictions or delivery charges may apply.

If an additional charge is required before delivery can be completed, we will communicate this to you where reasonably possible.

12. Public Holidays and Peak Periods

Orders placed immediately before or during:

  • Public holidays;

  • Black Friday;

  • Cyber Monday;

  • Christmas and New Year periods;

  • Major promotional campaigns; or

  • Other periods of unusually high order volume

may take longer to arrive.

The 8–11 business day estimate should therefore be treated as an expected timeframe rather than a guaranteed delivery date.

13. Orders That Cannot Be Delivered

If an order cannot be delivered because of circumstances attributable to the customer, including incorrect delivery information, refusal of delivery or repeated failed delivery attempts, we may contact the customer to arrange an appropriate solution.

If the parcel is returned to PrepDrive, any further delivery may require payment of an additional delivery charge where permitted by law.

Any refund or cancellation will be handled in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy and applicable South African law.

14. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Shipping & Delivery Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.

In particular, where applicable, consumers retain their rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Where a mandatory legal right provides a consumer with a remedy because an order has not been delivered within an applicable agreed or legally required period, that right will prevail over this policy.

Important Notice

The delivery timeframe of 8–11 business days is an estimate and may be affected by circumstances outside PrepDrive's reasonable control.

PrepDrive does not guarantee delivery on a particular date unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that consumers have under applicable South African law.
